Lily Ryan – Co-Publisher Editor
My sisters and I joke that we grew up under the fax machine at the Pontiac Journal, in Fort-Coulonge. Growing up in a family newspaper is a vibrant place, one that has kept me in the newsroom. I worked in virtually every post along the way, from the dark room, to the police report, to pasting up with the wax machine, even sales and collections.
After exploring the world and completing two undergraduate degrees at McGill University, I spent five years as editor of the Pontiac Journal and then took a few years off to start a family. Now, I work as editor of the West Quebec Post and of the third newspaper run by my family, the Bulletin d’Aylmer. I am co-owner/publisher of these three wonderful newspapers.
Greg Newing - Journalist
I have been working for the West Quebec Post, the Bulletin d’Aylmer, the Bulletin de Gatineau & the Pontiac journal since May of 2022. I work as a journalist on the field, reporting on local events and news. I studied Philosophy of Religion at McGill University - I am also passionate about education, youth empowerment and community development.
I have been working for the West Quebec Post for over 10 years as a freelancer. Having obtained a Master of Social Work, I offer my services by working closely with social assistance organisms. Currently, my work means assisting people who are seeking disability benefits. I got married to my wife, Adèle Gauthier, at the end of the summer of 2022 and currently reside in Gatineau.
